Richard Day as Johnny Cash

Richard is the creative director and producer of 'Cash and Carter, Together', and  performs lead vocals and plays acoustic guitar. A lifelong country music fan, Richard discovered Johnny Cash and Hank Williams records among a box of old vinyl at a jumble sale and, to quote Hank Williams, 'saw the light'


Lizzy Rushby as June Carter

Lizzy plays the role of June Carter, Johnny's wife, with whom he performed throughout the greater part of his career. Lizzy is a full-time singer and vocal coach with training in voice, acting and dance. She has professional diploma from Birmingham Theatre School, and a foundation degree in performance (Acting) from Demontfort University. where she was an award winner for her course. Lizzy has worked professionally as a vintage singer since 2013 and is scheduled to release an EP of original Country tracks in autumn 2018.


Paul Matthews as Marshall Grant

Paul is the band's bassist and also provides backing vocals. he started playing bass at just 14, and began his musical career playing in late night soul bands.  The Silver Threetles, his homage to The Beatles, has toured theatres across the country since 2003. Paul has also played with UK Country act Dexeter, touring with The Shires, Ward Thomas, supported Chris Difford  (Squeeze), and has performed live on BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris Country show. Not only a musician, Paul has also produced two Number One albums on the Country Charts.

Jon Page as Luther Perkins

Jon started playing the guitar at aged 10, after his Dad bought him a Jimi Hendrix CD. Later on he received a first class honours degree in music and was awarded “Outstanding Guitarist of the Year" in 2011 by the Academy of Contemporary Music. A true country boy at heart, Jon has travelled to Nashville and attended a recording of the Grand Ole Opry; a Mecca for fans of country music!
